Master of Coffee (MC)
In combination with a rigorous written exam, candidates for the Master of Coffee™ designation must demonstrate the ability to recognize, describe and evaluate classic coffees and their methods of preparation in a blind tasting. Candidates’ blind tasting findings are presented orally to a panel of examiners. The examiners assesses the candidate’s knowledge, use of appropriate terminology, and communication skills. All master-level examinations take place in person, in Los Angeles, California.
Only Certified Coffee Specialists are eligible for enrollment in the Master of Coffee program.
Our Master-level study program has been offered since 2022.
If you are interested in becoming a Master of Coffee, enroll first for the CCS exam. Once you are a Certified Coffee Specialist (CCS), you may get invited to enter the Master program.
